At SEND QUEST, we feel that education goes beyond desks, pens, and paper. As a charity, we endeavour to ignite a love of learning and curiosity through play, socialisation, and exploration.
At SEND QUEST, we feel that education goes beyond desks, pens, and paper. As a charity, we endeavour to ignite a love of learning and curiosity through play, socialisation, and exploration.
As a home education learning and social club for SEND children primarily ages 5+, we show the children who join us that learning goes beyond the intimidation of textbooks and test results, in order to cultivate a love of learning that lasts a lifetime. We do our best alongside always having literacy and numeracy on offer, to encourage hands-on, real-world experiences, thus ensuring that every child gains as many life skills as possible to thrive in a changing world. A world that children with special educational needs find overwhelming and engulfing.
Children could tell you so much more than any amount of talking will if you
LISTEN and LOOK
More often than not, there is a breakdown in mutual communication and explanation between schools and families. We endeavor to make sure everything we do is attainable to everyone.
We will always do our best to answer any questions you may have.
What we do not know, we will find out.
Always remember that...
EVERY child, regardless of need, can learn and succeed.
It is the responsibility of any adults around them, to learn how to adapt their way of communicating as well as be willing to deviate from what is a standardised, prescribed approach.
At SEND QUEST we have an inclusive environment and wherever possible, we tailor any educational, social, and emotional support to the children's individual needs and/or disabilities to foster their learning, development and active participation in a safe and understanding community.
Due to the historical experiences the children who join us have had to process, safety and well-being underpin all aspects of our organisation. This ensures a welcoming, secure space where both the children and their guardians feel comfortable, accepted, and understood by peers and staff moving forward.
Free from judgement.
SEND QUEST AND THE FUTURE
SEND QUEST is a registered charity. We will be continuously fundraising in order to provide for the children who are registered with us.
Would you be willing to help fundraise?
Any support the local community can give and fundraising projects the public may think of, all add to what is available for your children.
Being ‘not-for-profit’ means that none of the staff are paid. It is done through goodwill and the desire to provide a welcoming, accessible group for primary-aged SEND children.
Providing funding is there, we plan to organise trips that will be part-funded.
In the future, we would like to be able to extend what we do, potentially by opening a youth/club group for children of the same age range (5+)
